THE University of the Philippines Information Technology Training Center UP ITTC Launches Android MMDA application

Information Technology Asia--Just recently, the Android application was launched by UP ITTC in cooperation with the Metro Manila Develpment Authority to minimize traffic problems in the National Capital Region. Android users can now view and counter traffic jams in Metro Manila by using Metro Manila Development Authority’s MMDA for Android™. Developed and innovated by the University of the Philippines Information Technology Training Center in Diliman (UP ITTC), users can now monitor traffic situations in EDSA, C5, SLEX, Roxas Boulevard, Ortigas, Commonwealth, Marcos Highway, Katipunan, España, and Quezon Avenue and find an alternate route when approaching a traffic jam ahead of time and users can also share traffic information via Twitter and notify their followers.
