How to start Organic Farming; Tips for Beginners

Organic Gardening is a healthy alternative to conventional gardening when people start to worry about toxins that we might get from commercialized fertilizers specially if you are maintaining a vegetable garden for Home consumption. Garden composting can be done at home, depending also on the soil in you back yard or vegetable farm. Basic tips for composting: collect leaves, grasses and other organic materials when cleaning you garden and gather them in a space or a corner, you can make a "compost pit" that you can utilize every time you need to gather your own organic fertilizers. Add news papers, used paper, fruit & vegetable peels from your kitchen. Pile them in the "compost pit" and cover it and let stand until it is ready for use. Usually you may have to check the chemical composition of the soil but it is not advisable to add chemicals in your compost. Leave your "do it yourself" compost for a time with out adding anything but old newspapers usually for a minimum of three weeks and a maximum of a month should do it. This will also save you a lot of money because of the high cost of organic fertilizer.
