2010 Philippine Elections: Close Fight Between Binay; Roxas for the Vice Presidential Seats

 It's been a week since Filipinos Casted their votes for a new administration but the tight race between Binay and Roxas will not come to a close just yet for the Vice Presidential race as ABS-CBN-Pulse Asia, GMA7 the PPCRV releases recent Tallies: ABS-CBN-Pulse Asia Roxas: 38.4%; Binay 42.1%. PPCRV Tally; Roxas12,673,877; Binay13,473,569 this numbers came from the 90.14% of election returns as of May 1 3, 2010. GMA7 Tally Binay-13,478,804; Roxas: 12,674,877. Political Experts say all votes for Binay came from the 14 Regions compared to the 2 other regions where Roxa's votes are waiting to be counted. According to an official of De La Salle University it is the "closest fight ever & only a significant event can change the numbers against Binay.

Rankings & Winners in Philippine 2010 Presidential Polls

Philippines--It is  the fourth day of Election week in the Philippines and  the rankings in the Presidential race is barely moving.  Noynoy Aquino remains in number one, former President Joseph Estrada in no.2 and the rest of the candidates  are stuck in the same slot since Monday. Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay remains in the lead for the Vice Presidential race, Senator Mar Roxas 2nd. Some local officials were already proclaimed in Baguio City, Mauricio Domogan won in the Mayoralty race, Atty. Daniel Farinas as Vice Mayor ; for  Manila, incumbent Mayor Alfredo Lim &Vice Mayor Isko Moreno was proclaimed; Quezon City-Mayor Herbert Bautista, Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, Guia Gomez  in San Jaun.  For Congressional seats: For Baguio City, Engr. Bernardo Vergara, Manila- Amado Bagatsing. Unofficial Results of Election 2010 and the Filipino Psyche

Monitoring the elections was a heart racing tasks for every one in & out of polling stations as canvassing continues. From the out side looking in-- all time candidates, made it to top 12 in the Senatorial race--it was a relief for most voters (including me as most of my choices Enrile, Estrada, Marcos, Sotto, Deffensor Santiago, Drillon, Lapid are on the top 12, only 3 of my choices barely made it Ocampo. Lozada & Risa Hontiveros) while opposing reactions from different sectors magnifies as Aquino takes the lead over Estrada and Villar conceding earlier than expected.
